What is the point of this website?

A prophet of God is only a prophet of God when he is under the influence of the spirit of God and the other times in their life they are as human as you and I. They are subject to mistakes, temper, and stupidity as the next man or woman. My Dad has said many stupid things over the years and so have I as a father but it does not take away our title or my purpse in life, to be the best dad I can. Moses could not have been perfect everyday and wasn't. The fact that anyone has a title of a Prophet/Apostle of the Lord does not make them super human. Just makes them a target for others to find any fault.

Its really to bad of what you all think about the mormon church. We dont serve missions to get a girl back home. We do it to share the truths that we have come to know for ourselves so that others can know the same. And to do what a modern day prophet has asked us to do. You find yourself to be very cleaver. So, many have supported you along the path. Some here have claimed to have historical facts correct. However, such is not substantiated. Your concept of the Church makes no difference on the will or mind of God. You are most likely not remorseful in any degree. That is too bad. Some of your fans have claimed that the Latter-day Saints are hypocrytes. The truth is that some are hypocrytes. They will be accountable for their sins and how it affected their lives and the influence that such sins have eminated. However, you are responsible for your own lives. If you think that you are excused because some Latter-day Saints are hypocrytes, then you are truely in a miserable situation.

I know that as you read this, some of you will be mocking my words. I do not care. You are endangering your souls. The doctrines of the church have never changed. Even if certain practices have changed from time to time, the doctrine is the same as it always has been. The church never forbid Black people from coming and getting baptized. They never abused the Black race. Infact, Black persons have enjoyed the church from the 1830's until now. At one point God only permitted the Levite people to hold the Priesthood. God can change the practice of who is permitted to the priesthood.

You foolishly claim that the Prophets have revelations as if they were whims. I am sorry that you are not in communication with God. Such a sad fate is one that will bring you no happiness. Sure, you may have pleasure in this life, but misery will beset you for the false traditions that you are in bondage too. God will let you know at judgement day that He established his true church upon the earth. Blind hearted people rejected Christ is his day. It is not much different today. A time will come in your life that you will plead for mercy. I hope you get the most mercy possible. I hope you feel inclinde to repent and come unto Christ and be perfected in him. Just a quick note to say my heart goes out to you all. To be sooo deceived. It is not the way of the old people. I am a Babtist, but more so a Christian.. Being a Christian, I know that I can still make mistakes; but I strive to do what is right and holy in God's eyes. It is not easy to trust someone once you have been deceived. How sad they you feel that fhe is a burden. My family as a result of years in the church have all grown up well balanced children. No drink, drugs, unwanted pregancies. My son is on a mission in spain and throughly enjoying it. I have never been forced to do anything in the church and yes at times i have been less then perfect, but hey that is what repentance is for! I think this site is both extreamly funney, yet sad. I grew up LDS, and I am pleased to no longer be a member. All except for maybe one mormon I know (and almost every one here is mormon) are some of the most self-rightous people ever! I don't know if I think it's good to make fun of them, but maybe they should realize everyone has the right to freedom of speak. From reading you comments i know that you may not want to hear from me. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all my life. I have been very strong at times in my life and i have fallen away as well....I wanted to leave a comment for you. I am so Gratefull for Our Father in Heaven unconditional love and mercy for his children. He love us all, and wants us all the return to be with him someday. The reason the Conference Center is so big, is beacuse thousands of people in our country and throughout the world are joining the church, not because they are brainwashed and pulled into it..... because they are looking for something deeper... they are finding true happiness and truth through the spirit that comes when we ask if the church is true. I testify that there is nothing in this world that brings more peace that know This church is true. I have asked Our Father in Heaven and he has testified to me through the spirit of the Holy Ghost and blessings in my life that this church is true, that the Book of Mormon is true, that the Prophet Joseph Smith as well and our living Prophet today is a true prophet of God.

I was stunned to find this site as I was researching the Humanitarian efforts of the Church. Couldn't believe how so many can bash the good things that the Church has done. Look at every Major Natural disaster around the world in the last ... how many years. The Church has been there on the front lines with food, clothing, and supplies quicker than the Red Cross, or any of the other organizations. These supplies didn't just go to it's members. They went to everyone affected by the disasters.

The church has investment in many different areas, such as farming, for the purposes of producing food goods for the humanitarian aid, and for the Church Walefare Program. If people worried more about what THEY are doing to help the humanitarian efforts around the world, rather than what everyone else is doing, perhaps more could be done. I feel good about the 10% that I give every month for Tithing. And for what I give for fast offerings. I trust that my money is well spent. But it doesn't stop there. I also do other things with my own time, and my own talents to further the efforts abroad as well. And I would never bash another church for what they are, or are not doing. - 10/28/2006 - anon

Why are you so angry and hateful towards the LDS-Church? I would like to wager a guess:

1. Ex-communicated for child molestation, pornography, or some other ugly offense. Maybe you had pre-marital sex enough to force the church to ex-communicate you, to save you from further accountability for your actions. I bet that hurts! Being caught in nasty activities- how embarrassing!

2. You were sick of feeling guilty because you had no desire to follow the church's teachings- it is MUCH easier to discount the church, isn't it!? I bet you feel great now!

3. Someone in the church offended you, and you just can't let it go.

4. You are homosexual, and no matter how much society and pop-culture push the church to embrace it, they hold to their morals.

I think it's very sad that you have nothing better to do with your time than to mock other people and their religion. I am not a mormon, but there are morons in my town of Manchester, IA. They are honest, hard-working people who are very family oriented. Who cares what kind of underwear they are wearing or for what reason? What kind of underwear do you wear? I am a member of the LDS church, or a mormon. First off, the story about Emma not liking to clean up the tobacco after the meetings is true. However, Joseph Smith didn't just create the Word of Wisdom himself. He prayed to the Lord and asked the Lord how they should conduct themselves. The Lord revealed the Word of Wisdom to Joseph Smith to protect the members of the church. It is true the Word of Wisdom is not a commandment, but it was given as "a principle with promise, adapted to the capacity of the weak and the weakest of all saints, who are or can be called saints." (D&C 89:3.)

The other thing I wanted to mention was that missionaries (the handsome men that "lure" people to the church) only go to people's doors to find people who might be interested in hearing about the LDS faith. If they happen to be handsome, it's not their fault. Most missionaries are young men fresh out of high school, who volunteer their time to teach others about the LDS faith. The LDS church does not want to "lure" people to the church. They want to find people interested in the faith, so they can teach them more.

I know that one of the first principles in according to the mormon faith is that they let others worship, "who, how and what they may," why can't you let others choose their personal beliefs in peace? Why make a mockery of people's choice of religion. Also, if someone told you, you were going to hell and was from the Mormon faith, why would it affect you as much as it did when you don't share the same beliefs? you know im 16 and its really interesting to see how IMMATURE you all are for these ridiculous songs! you think your cool or funny, well think again bc its offensive and STUPID! As latter day saints we do not demean any other religion in any format! we support everyone else, and like most every other religion we have missionaries... ours are different bc A.) they're "mormon" and B.) bc they dress up in church dress so when we introduce ourselves we are giving a good first impression and looking professional and like we want to be there.

As a member of the LDS church im done with the term "mormon" bc believe it or not that is demeaning and you might sound a little more perspicacious by calling us Latter Day Saints... but if you want to sound nonsensical then whatever i guess thats a personal problem. but im sorry that everyone thinks we are such a substandard religion.

But here are a few questions about your religions that you can ponder:

-Can you go ANYWHERE in the ENTIRE WORLD and find a church w/ the EXACT same name and is teaching the EXACT same lesson at your building?

-Where does all the money for your "tithing" go? ... most likely it goes to the churches building funds, so we can "expand" and send people on mission trips in Rome! Ours goes to missionaries, our cannaries, the building of temples so everyone, everywhere has the ability to visit a temple and get a true feeling of God's love for them!

-Do you have missionaries preaching for your gospel everywhere? we do!

-how long do your missionaries serve? ours serve 2 years, BY CHOICE, NOT FORCE!!!

-do people actually have to move/travel from there homes to the location of your ONE building.

I would think that a person sitting around writing crap (and I say this lightly, because I love to take a good crap, but give me a break! Get a life you poor disturbed lost souls. It is one thing to disagree with a teaching of doctrine, but to mock it relentlessly and show zero respect to it is about as ungodly as you could ever get. Why don't you go watch a real movie about Joseph Smith. The Work and the Glory 2, when Joseph was trying to calm his sick baby and a group of men ripped him from his child and took him out to the streets and tarred and feathered him and tried to poison him. That child he was torn away from later died from the exposure to the cold added to its illness because the house was left open as they assaulted a man who had done nothing to them but offend them with his beliefs. This was before the contreversial polygamy, by the way. This was only because he saw God and was gathering a following of people who were growing rapidly. Last time I checked, this nation was founded on religious beliefs, and as far as I can recall in US history, it is also the only religion that had an extermina! tion order out against it, members were chased literally into the mountains of Utah because of the hate against them. What for? Because people believed it, and were gathering together in one place to share the strength of each other's testimonies, and for some reason that threatened people. Did any stop to look around and realize how many communities in the US were overwhelmingly populated with one religion or another (ie mostly Catholic or mostly Prodestent) before Mormons and Baptists and Epicopalians, etc. came into existence. Why weren't the others persecuted for their breaking away from the beliefs of Rome? Oh, yeah! They too were threatened by the fact that a new prophet, like Moses or Abraham of old was called in modern times. You know, the greatest prophet of all was killed because he came into the world and was rejected. In my mind, Joseph Smith is in better company than those so called Christians who broke the law and were never prosecuted for Joseph's martyr! dom, drove men, women and children through winter months out of their cities because of their beliefs. They didn't hurt a soul, and in no way did they ever break a law through their belief in the restored religion of God. They believed in the hope that God was once again speaking directly to a prophet. This was, by the way one of the signs in the Bible leading to Christ's second coming. After an apostacy, a restoration of all things,followed by Christ's return. That is the real story hear. I couldn't even read a full paragraph of any of these "screneplays" May all of your "authors" change their ways before they meet the ultimate Author. Our God. I sincerely hope you would respect the former leader of the fastest growing religion of the modern world and a mostly misrepresented and misunderstood church that does far more good in the world through its efforts with the poor and needy (both spiritually and worldly) by ending this perverse, warped pursuit of slander and libal. I happened upon this site by accident and really wish I hadn?t. I only read a few snippets but I am appalled. It?s highly offensive and really lacks a person with any faith. Why not spend your time improving your own thoughts on religion and faith rather than try to denounce other people's beliefs. There are many including myself that believe that President Hinckley is a Prophet of God and that should be respected despite your own beliefs. If you believe in the Pope great! How would you like it if there were spiteful people out there being hateful towards him, which I am sure there are factions that do that, all the same it is wrong.
