He said that the actor playing JS was indeed gay, with his 'companion' present on the set daily. He further reports that the actress who played Eliza hates Mormons and let it be known. The reason for this, my neighbor said, was because the director (big name LDS movie director whose name I can't remember) wanted to show that the 'spirit' would prevail in spite of the feelings or lifestyle of the actors.
I will say the RM couple were wonderful, kind TBM people whom I love dearly. They were like grandparents to our kids. I have absolutely no reason to believe that he would lie. He was disgusted with the whole thing.
Mormons are not like this. Just because someone appears in a film connected with Mormons does not mean that that is what their religion is. And in any case, how would you know who are Mormons, or Latter-day Saints, or not? I would like to know also if you are of celestial calibre. If not, then why do you persecute those who are not also! HYPOCRITE, even if you are, you have no right to do this - judge not, lest ye be judged. Also, how would you know about Temple recommends if you are not a member of the Church? Do you really know what it means to be Temple worthy? Are you? You are also forgetting that we should remove the beam out of our own eye before we remove the mote that is in our brothers' eye, or in other words, to not find fault with people when we are at fault ourselves, or unworthy of something, or guilty of something just as bad as the other person.
Do you really know what Latter-day Saints are like? They are kind, God-fearing, worshippers of the Lord and Saviour of this world Jesus Christ. They follow His teachings and encourage others to do the same. They also respect the beliefs of other religions (Article of Faith no. 11). You assumed that all cast members of Legacy were LDS - you assumed wrongly. We are not to judge what people have done before - you have highlighted an 'error' in their 'judgement' of people whom they take on board to participate in their films, and used this to bring a bad image to a Church which teaches the truth about Jesus Christ, His life and what became of Him since His resurrection, His atoning sacrifice, the pre-existence (not known much if at all in other Churches), the proper mode of baptism, judgement, the three degrees of glory, the proper organisation of a Church and so on.
You should know that one day we will all be judged on our actions. So what if this Eliza does hate Mormons? If she is not a Church member then that is up to her. You have made remarks on the director. Why do you attack him? Has he had any reason to attack you? Do you even know him? Can you even confirm whether or not what you have stated on this website is even true?
I will give you my personal opinion. Whatever the attitude of this actress, and the actor you speak about, that is up to them. Have you not made mistakes in your life? I have, and everyone has, but it is not up to us to highlight them and make a show of it to the world. I am not going to judge them even if what you say about them is true. I am looking at myself and seeing how I am conducting my life (which, incidentally, is nothing like what these two are doing or have done. Would you like doing to you what you have done to them?
I advise you to think about all of these things. If you really want to know what LDS people are like, get real and get to know them - I can tell you that they are great people, and I am perfectly happy being one of them myself. - 11/10/2008 - anon

Why would these actors want a role in a spiritually endearing movie like Legacy? To show what a broad range of charactor acting they can play? How about some better credentials screening for the next big blockbuster! - 05/19/2006 - anon
